CWP Global to Develop First Hybrid Power Plant in Serbia – Solar Power Plant and Wind Farm Planned Too
One of the three projects is Lederata Energy, which will be the first hybrid power plant in Serbia. It will consist of a 50 MW solar park, a 100 MW wind farm and an energy storage system of 20 MWh.
The location of future Lederata Energy facilities comprises sites in Pozarevac and Veliko Gradiste. The company estimated the investment at EUR 200 million.
The start of construction is planned for the first quarter of 2025, while the facility should be completed and commissioned at the beginning of 2027.
Solar photovoltaic power plant Equinox Power to be built in Kula
The Municipality of Kula has also made the decision to prepare the Detailed Regulation Plan for CWP Global’s solar power plant Equinox Power of 80 MW. The company estimates the investment at EUR 80 million.
CWP Global is developing plans for its photovoltaic plants Solarina and Kima Solar, of 150 MW and 50 MW, respectively, and wind farm Vetrozelena, which would have a capacity of 300 MW.
Vetrogon wind project of 450 MW
The future biggest wind power plant in Serbia will be built in Vojvodina, in the municipalities of Srbobran and Becej. The facility’s maximum capacity is planned to be 450 MW, and it would cost EUR 600 million, CWP Global added.
The construction is scheduled to start in late 2025. The company’s ambition is to commission the facility in early 2028. It announced that Vetrogon would generate 1.1 TWh a year.
