Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) has been hired for 2D seismic survey projects in Turkey, which serve to detect new reserves of oil and gas.

This can be seen from the tender which expired a couple of days ago (it was open for only one day), through which NIS Naftagas Naftni servisi doo, as the part of NIS which does services related to oil and gas boring activities, is looking for the contractor for the securing of boreholes and equipment for boring activities for the need of 2D seismic survey projects in 4 locations in (the Asian part) of Turkey: Nusaybin, Bukat, Damlaca and Nizip.

The investor in the project is the Turkish national oil company TPAO (Turkiie Petroleri Anonim Ortaklıgı), and a total of 25,477 boreholes are planned, as well as an additional 20-100 test boreholes.

Let us remind that Turkey recently detected 540 billion m3 of gas and 60 million barrels of oil beneath the Black Sea.
