CCIS: Companies Expect Growth of Turnover in Next Quarter
In the second quarter, on average, the surveyed subjects realized a utilization of capacities of 74%, and the biggest utilization degree was realized in the textile industry. Also, it is encouraging that 78% of the surveyed companies have enough financial funds for the optimal financing of the business operations.
Resources remain the key condition for the improvement of business operations and a greater use of the capacities, considering that as many as 60% marked lower resource costs as the key factor to more efficient business operations. As in the previous survey, nearly a half of the surveyed subjects highlight the demand in the local market and a greater availability of the resources as the key factors for a greater utilization of the capacities, says the announcement of the CCIS.
Increased exports compared to the previous quarter, by 50% on average, were recorded at 33% of the subjects who exported in the second quarter of 2022.
As announced, the employment rate is stable considering that 87% of the subjects have either maintained or increased the number of employees in the second quarter and that 94% of the subjects do not expect a reduction of the number of employees in the upcoming quarter either. The current offer of labor force in the country, in the sense of education profiles and work experience, is suitable for the majority of the subjects, but companies also believe that Serbia doesn’t have enough adequate workers.
In the second quarter of the current year, the Serbian economy realized an improvement of the business performances, considering that 46% of the subjects realized a growth of the turnover compared to the previous quarter, whereas, at 35% of those surveyed, the turnover remained unchanged.
The companies are optimistic about the third quarter of 2022 regarding the export trends. An increase in quarter-on-quarter exports is expected by 32% of the subjects. Of the total number of the surveyed companies, 48% imported in the second quarter of 2022, and as many as 82% of the surveyed exporters had the same or larger exports.
The results of the survey show that the majority of the subjects expect a continuation of stable performances in the third quarter of 2022 as well, the press release concludes.
