Future regional traffic management center in Nis will monitor four road sections in the south - The value of the work is RSD 120 million

The PE Roads of Serbia has announced a tender for the establishment of the Regional Management Center in Nis.

As per the technical description of the tender, currently, several subsystems of ITS (intelligent transport systems) function within the state road network in the Republic of Serbia.

In accordance with the "Concept of ITS development in Serbia", the Regional Center, in charge of developing regional roads, will be established in Nis (South-East) and will be responsible for monitoring and managing the roads in four sections of the level IA state roads:

1. State road A1 from the Node 141 beltway Jagodina - Node 162 Presevo border with the Republic of North Macedonia;
2. State road A4 Node 148 beltway Trupale - Node 409 Gradina border with the Republic of Bulgaria;
3. State road A4 Node 149 beltway Nis South - Node 3536 Merdare (during project implementation);
4. DP A5 Node 144 beltway Pojate - Node 206 beltway Preljina (construction in progress).



The Central Traffic Supervision and Management System should integrate the traffic detection system (automatic traffic meter), road signs with changing message content, a video surveillance system, automatic detection system, vehicle motion control system in the opposite direction, overweight vehicle detection systems, shaft load detection systems and safe parking for commercial vehicles.

The estimated value of the works is RSD 120 million.
