The Energy Community has opened a procedure against Serbia, claiming that it has not transposed the grid codes to the local legislation. Those in charge at the Ministry of Mining and Energy are to blame, claim the sources of the Energija Balkana portal, who say that, according to the Law, the ministry only needed to forward to the Government of Serbia the decree prepared and harmonized by EMS and EDS and approved by AERS a year ago.

Due to an error and/or incredible negligence of those in charge at the ministry, the Energy Community of Southeast Europe initiated the procedure against the Republic of Serbia several days ago, the portal writes.

This pertains to the failure to transpose, on time, the decrees regarding the three grid-related rules which regulate the connecting of production units, facilities of purchasers and one-way high-voltage systems to the power transfer and distribution system, including new sources from RES – wind and solar energy.
