Return the Pallet, Save the Planet – New Concept by Xella
The principles of sustainability are clearly defined and they lean on three main segments: economy, society and environmental protection. Sustainability entails a rational use of natural resources on the level of the whole society, parallel with sustainable development and economic growth.
The fact that natural resources are limited inevitably incites us to design and implement the principles of sustainable development as a society.
Xella Serbia considers sustainability an inevitable part of its corporate strategy and the way it sees the future. In line with sustainable development, the products of Xella and energy efficient and natural materials. With its brands Ytong, Silka and Multipor, the company fosters product sustainability throughout the life cycle, beginning with the raw materials, production processes, to energy efficiency, which characterizes the facilities built from Xella materials.
Offering innovative, systemic and sustainable solutions for construction and insulation, Xella contributes to the energy efficiency of facilities and a rational use of energy. By continuously pushing the boundaries, Xella incites the construction sector to use sustainable building solution, moving toward a sustainable future.
In its most recent step forward, Xella has created a concept called “RETURN THE PALLET, SAVE THE PLANET”.
The products of Xella are Ytong and Silka construction blocks, as well as Multipor thermal insulation panels, meant for building insulation. Due to their nature, all those products are packed and delivered on wooden pallets. As the preservation of trees is of extreme importance for the planet, the company points out that, in the future, their pallets will be made so that they can be re-used. Xella invites the construction sector, especially big investors and distributors, to return the pallets after using Xella materials and thereby take part in creating a sustainable future.
– Xella is present in the market with its unique system for sustainable construction. We have strived to additionally contribute to sustainable development and it is precisely for that reason that the concept “RETURN THE PALLET, SAVE THE PLANET” has been created. The concept is primarily meant for big investors, construction sites and distributors, for which we have come up with adequate incentives – said Stevan Djukic, Country Sales Manager of Xella Serbia, and added:
– Parallel with the concept “RETURN THE PALLET, SAVE THE PLANET”, I also want to point out that the foil that our products are packed in is fully biodegradable and that, with this step, the entire packing of our products has become fully sustainable.
In the next phases, our aim is to expand the concept and reach every individual who uses our materials in building, extending or renovating. It is only at the level of society that we can create a sustainable future, which Xella is pointing to, because we worry about the future generations!
