Going to Work and Playing with Lego Bricks? New Trend Sweeps Over Serbia!
Putting together Lego bricks is more than a game. It is a serious process which influences cognitive and motor skill development in many ways, and the five key reasons to introduce Lego to your everyday activities are:
– The development of motor skills
– Team work and communication
– Resilience and persistence
– Problem solving
– Creative thinking
Individuals, companies and organizations that want to improve team collaboration, improve productivity, contribute to a more efficient decision-making and help create innovative solutions have turned to a new methodology which creates a new way of doing working: simply, they put together Lego bricks with their employees.
The Lego Serious Play methodology has also made a major entrance to our companies smoothly and quietly and is a revolution in business, especially in structures where the focus is on finding solutions, establishing good relations between colleagues and improving team collaborations.
Lego® Serious Play® is a democratic approach which enables all participants to share perspectives and collective intelligence through making models with the help of Lego bricks and a group dialogue. The method was designed by experts in organizational development and the Play Serious concept of Lego® Group. It is based on the belief that every member of a team/organization should make a contribution and be part of the solution to a business challenge.
How is the game played?
In specific exercises, Lego bricks are used as a tool for the making of business models which metaphorically represent challenges in a team. The created models serve as a basis for group discussions, exchange of knowledge and solving problems and help incite creative thinking and finding unique solutions. Serious play, no matter how paradoxical it may sound, is a process that helps businesses function much better and brings what most businesses lack: creativity, passion and inspiration.
For each individual workshop, a unique program is designed which enables the maximum level of cooperation between the participants. All challenges are planned so as to activate or awaken creative thinking, develop collaboration and direct the participants to create solutions together.
The workshop is run by a certified Lego® Serious Play® facilitator (moderator), trained to follow the team members, notice the needs of the team and direct the team towards a joint success.
The participants get specially designed Lego bricks. The task set before the group and the elements which the participants use create an environment which exceeds all the mental patters that the participants are used to.
The way we work with a strategy changes, and one of the forerunners of changes is Lego® Serious Play®, an innovative methodology which has connected hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Although we live in a digital era which provides incredible possibilities for the networking of people, the good old Lego is a tactile, fun and creative way for people to socialize, laugh, have creative discussions and find the best results for their business.
