Serbia Supports Declaration for the Future of the Internet

The director of the Office for IT and eGovernment of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mihailo Jovanovic, took part in the online meeting that was held on April 28 at the White House in Washington, organized by the United States of America, in cooperation with Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom and the European Union, where the Declaration for the Future of the Internet was presented.

On behalf of Serbia, Jovanovic supported the Declaration for the Future of the Internet and pointed out that our country shared the belief that digital technologies had a strong potential for the promotion of democracy, peace, sustainable development, rule of law and basic human rights and freedom.


He said the Serbia also shared the goals defined in the Declaration for the Future of the Internet which pertained to honoring universal values and principles, such as an open, free, reliable and safe global internet in the future.
