NIS Seeking Status of International Turnkey Operator in EU Territory – Various Concession Options Being Considered
According to the technical documentation, NIS plans to switch to an IPM status on the occasion of the implementation of the project of the construction of facilities on oil concession fields in Romania, which eKapija has already written about, with the further establishing of the status of an international IPM operator.
The task of the consultant, it is said, is to determine whether there are any limitations in EU and Romanian legislations regarding the signing of agreements under the turnkey system.
In case it is impossible to sign an IPM agreement, it is further said, the consultant needs to determine the possibility of NIS being a consultant during the realization of the project in Romania and propose alternative options for the hiring of one general contractor for that job.
It is added that NIS is currently interested in acquiring experience as an international IPM operator in the EU territory, which is why various options within concession arrangements are being considered.
The tender is open until April 11, and the details can be found HERE.
