Frenchmen to buy "Mercator" ?
In March 2005, the representatives of French Brokerage Company "BNP Paribas" will arrive to Ljubljana. Being of opinion that the stocks of "Mercator" could be interested to some French client, this company prepared preliminary analysis of "Mercator" back in 2004.
"On several occasions I said that I didn't have anything against ownership structure of "Mercator" in which foreign partner owned one fourth of the stocks", president of administration of "Mercator" Zoran Janković announced.
According to his words, remaining share of stocks would be divided among leading men of "Mercator", State and financial institutions.
There are many foreign investors that are interested in stocks of "Mercator", such as "Vestl kompas fund" and "Hyposwiss" from Luxembourg, French bank Societe Generale, Austrian Erste bank and Bank Austria Creditanstalt. www.ba-ca.com www.bnpparibas.com www.hyposwiss.ch
