Russian Torgservis Group to Open First Svetofor Market in Belgrade and New Markets in Cacak, Trstenik, Kikinda…
The Russian discount store chain Svetofor will soon open its first market in Belgrade at 5 Surcinski Put Street, near the Bezanijska Kosa settlement. In addition to opening its first retail outlet in Belgrade, Svetofor will continue its expansion in the Serbian market by opening another three markets, a second one in Cacak and first facilities in Kikinda and Trstenik.
Svetofor currently operates with over 15 retail outlets of the discount type, where goods are displayed on pallets or in chambers. The offer of Svetofor stores features around 40% articles imported from Russia. The average area of a Svetofor market in Serbia is around 1,000 m2.
Svetofor is part of the Russian Torgservis Group, which operates in Serbia through two independent companies, Beltorg (Svetofor markets) and Ros Produkt Servis Beograd (MERE markets). The first MERE market opened in Batajnica in late 2020, whereas the Svetofor chain commenced its operation several months later. The MERE brand soon plans to enter the markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia.
