The prime minister of Serbia, attended the opening of the section of the Milos Veliki highway from Preljina, near Cacak, to Pakovrace, around 11.5 kilometers long.

Brnabic expressed her expectation that the highway section to Pozega will be finished by the end of the year and pointed out that it was important to complete the works as soon as possible.

– With the opening of the highway section from Preljina to Pakovrace, the traffic jams in Cacak, which occurred especially in the summer vacations seasons and on weekends, will become a thing of the past, because all the transit traffic has been redirected to the new bypass route – Brnabic said, as announced by the Government of Serbia.

It is part of the highway section from Preljina to Pozega of 30.9 kilometers, where the main contractor is the Chinese company CRBC.

The deadline for the completion of the works, which began in May 2019, on the whole section to Pozega is 36 months, and they are worth EUR 450 million.

The Preljina-Pozega section is the continuation of the project of the construction of the Belgrade-South Adriatic highway of the total length of 258 kilometers.
