(Illustration) A train with a track recording car made by Deutsche Bahn for the testing of the fast railway from Belgrade to Novi Sad has reached the speed of 201.5 kilometers per hour, the company Serbian Railways Infrastructure said for Tanjug.

The train reached said speed on Friday in the afternoon hours, they say, without any difficulties related to the functioning and the traffic.

The speed of 200 kilometers per hour was reached for the first time by the test train on the section of the fast railway between Stara Pazova and Nova Pazova. That is when the speedometer in the special locomotive, which had arrived from Germany for the purpose of the testing of the fast railway in Serbia, recorded the maximum speed of 201.5 kilometers per hour.

The testing is being carried out in accordance with a defined plan and will continue in the upcoming days. The plan is for this testing phase to last until February 4, 2022.
