Serbia Gets Approval from EU for Opening Cluster 4 – Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity
Cluster 4 will be opened at the Intergovernmental Conference which will be held on December 14 in Brussels, following the meeting of the General Affairs Council of the EU.
Within this cluster, four new chapters will be opened simultaneously: Chapter 14 – Transport Policy, Chapter 15 – Energy, Chapter 21 – Trans-European Networks and Chapter 27 – Environment and Climate Change.
The decision should also be officially adopted by the ambassadors of the member-states at the meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 8, whereby Serbia, following a two-year halt, would be able to make the next step in the EU accession negotiations.
Cluster 4 pertains to the “green agenda and sustainable connectivity” and unifies the chapters or fields which are related to transport, energy, trans-European networks, environmental protection and climate change.
