The new owners have invested around EUR 6 million in the car battery plant in Sombor, increased the number of employees from 120 to 220 and, according to the announcements, new investments are planned.

– Further plans are directed primarily at an increase of the existing production capacities, the implementation of more modern technologies and the development of new products – said the minister of economy of Serbia, Andjelka Atanaskovic, while visiting the factory, as announced by the ministry.

At the moment, 90% of the production of car batteries of three brands is exported to the foreign market.

– We have invested EUR 6 million in machines primarily. This process is not finished yet and, next year, we plan to invest another EUR 3 million. We are continuously investing in labor force and training programs – said Roland Mentez, the director of Black Horse-FAS in Sombor.
