The company PepsiCo will shut down the production in its Marbo chips factory in Laktasi by the end of the year, as confirmed for the Capital portal.

The shutting down of the chips factory has been officially confirmed by PepsiCo, which says that the production is moving to the municipality of Backi Petrovac in Serbia and that this is a new business strategy.

– The Marbo factory will be reconstructed into a central distribution center for the entire market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whereas the factory in Maglic, Municipality of Backi Petrovac, Serbia, will become the regional production center of PepsiCo for the Western Balkans, within which Marbo has operated for 13 years – they say.

They add that Marbo will continue the sale and distribution of the portfolio in BiH and that the sectors of logistics and sale, as well a part of other administrative functions, will remain in Laktasi.

– This reorganization of the business structure will be completed by the end of 2021 – PepsiCo says.
