The minister for innovations and technological development of Serbia, Nenad Popovic, has stated that, despite the energy crisis in the world, Russian gas will arrive regularly to Serbia this season, at affordable prices, as has been the case so far.

Popovic said this at the media conference following the session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation of Serbia and Russia held on Zlatibor. He co-presided over the session together with Yuri Borisov, the deputy prime minister of Russia.

– At this difficult moment when it comes to energy, when the price of gas has exploded and is 10 or 20 times higher than a year or two ago, Russia is right there by our side again. There are also negotiations about a new long-term agreement between Gazprom and Srbijagas and, what’s most important, Yuri Borisov assured me that this will be a warm winter in Serbia and we are sure that the price will be as affordable as Russia has always offered to Serbia – Popovic said, as reported by Tanjug.
