Deloitte Choosing Best Financial Director in Serbia – Contest Open Until November 7, 2021
Having recognized the increasingly important role of financial directors, Deloitte has launched the contest for the selection of the best financial director, who is chosen by an expert jury in line with the defined criteria. The CFO of the Year award is awarded for the success and the projects that the financial director runs within the function of the finances and is measured by the results that the company where they are employed is realizing based on those activities, it is said in the company’s announcement.
This is an initiative which promotes the importance of transparent corporate management and is certainly one of the ways of improving the economic performances on the whole, stimulating the investment climate and, thereby, strengthening the economy.
The CFO of the Year is selected by an independent expert jury base on the pre-defined qualitative and quantitative criteria, that is, based on the filled-out brief questionnaire from the contest application and the publicly available financial reports for 2020 of the company where the candidate is employed.
Applications may be sent by November 7, 2021, and participation is entirely free. In addition to the filled-out questionnaire, applications need to contain personal data (name, company name, biography).
The jury consists of:
– Dragan Loncar, professor, Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade
– Slavica Pavlovic, president of the Executive Board, Eurobank a.d.
– Nikola Turkan, senior finance director (CFO), Hemofarm a.d.
– Nebojsa Matic, founder and CEO, MikroElektronika
– Olivera Andrijasevic, partner, Deloitte
The winner of the contest will be pronounced at an event organized in early December. The best CFO then enters the selection of the regional CFO of the year for Southeast Europe, which will be held for the first time in February 2022.
