LuxAir has temporarily stopped the flights between Luxembourg and Belgrade, LuxAir told N1.

According to them, this is down to “the current rules for entering Luxembourg, related to the Covid-19 sanitary situation in Serbia and the demand in the market”.

The decision was made after Luxembourg removed Serbia this Monday from the green list of the states whose citizens may enter the EU territory without any restrictions, with a proof of virus safety and compliance with the sanitary measures, in line with the recommendations of the European Council.

– LuxAir will once again transport passengers to Belgrade, as soon as possible, as soon as the traveling conditions between Luxembourg and Serbia are eased – the company says.

On June 3, LuxAir introduced flights from Luxembourg to Belgrade and several other destinations in the Western Balkans within a test period, until October 29. As they told N1 earlier, the company planned to “estimate all the performances on the route and analyze the potential travel limitations” in the meantime, before it makes a decision on its extension.

The company’s reply, which was forwarded to N1, indicates that the route will be re-established.
