Can Technology Save the World? – Exhibition of Innovative Solutions of Serbian and Swiss Companies in Environmental Protection Until September 28 at STP Belgrade
Solving the issues when it comes to environmental protection, these innovative companies have developed technological solutions which contribute to the mitigation of the climate change and the challenges in preserving the planet Earth. Between September 22 and 28, the exhibition will be open to all visitors who are interested in seeing the innovations that contribute to the building of a more sustainable world.
The exhibition is organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in cooperation with the local partners: the Science-Technology Park Belgrade, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia. The aim is to incite and accelerate cooperation between the key actors of the two countries in the field of green economy and highlight innovative technological solutions of Serbian and Swiss companies.
– As you can see at the exhibition, we are all dedicated to achieving the goals of the 2030 United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development, in order to achieve a sustainable economic growth and protect the environment. We are convinced that this requires a joint approach, which involves state governments, the civil society and the private sector. If we manage to keep and develop this joint approach, as shown by today’s exhibition in Belgrade as well, we will overcome one of today’s biggest challenges, which is to harmonize the economy and the ecology. After this day, it should be clear that Switzerland and Serbia can and must give their contribution to achieving that goal – said Erwin Bollinger, Head of Bilateral Economic Relations Division at the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The opening of the exhibition was also an opportunity for the networking of Serbian and Swiss innovative companies, which considered the possibilities of further cooperation and joint projects.
