Budapest Waterworks Helping Belgrade with Drinking Water Supply
– At the request of the highest management of the Belgrade Waterworks and Sewer company, a Ranney well is handed over for temporary operations, so as to mitigate the problems with water supply in Belgrade. In order for a continuous flow of sufficient drinking water from the tap to be secured in Belgrade, just like in Budapest, it is necessary to reconstruct other wells too – the company says.
Thanks to the success of the work so far, they are convinced that they will be trusted to reconstruct the remaining wells too.
– The agreement signed by the Hungarian minister of foreign affairs and the Serbian minister of economy provides a good basis for the abovementioned, one of whose more important items is to carry out the program of reconstruction of Belgrade wells in cooperation with Budapest – it is said.
This agreement was reconfirmed following the meeting of the joint economic board of the mixed committee of the Serbian and the Hungarian governments in Belgrade on June 3-4, 2021.
