The growth rate of Serbia's gross domestic product (GDP) will amount to 7.5% by the end of the year, said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

- The Ministry of Finance is somewhat more conservative in its estimation, but we talked with the Republic Bureau of Statistics (RZS). The entire state leadership had a meeting and we expect the growth to be as high as 7.5% - said Vucic at the press conference in the Palace of Serbia.

Vucic stated that through this growth, Serbia will have a significant basis for sustainable increases in salaries and pensions, as well as keeping the public debt rate below 60% of gross domestic product (GDP).

- Only seven countries in Europe have a lower public debt than Serbia. These are the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, Bulgaria and Romania - he added.

Vucic pointed out that he is satisfied with the economic aspect of Serbia and emphasized that on December 1, we will have 10 construction sites for highways and expressways.
