Biggest Patty in the World Made in Leskovac – 67 Kilograms of Barbecue Meat
This year’s biggest patty in the world is 750 grams heavier than the one the three-member team of the Leskovac restaurant Koliba made at the previous contest. Before being barbecued, its diameter was 190 centimeters, whereas its thickness was 2.5 centimeters. After it was prepared, the thickness increased by a half, whereas the diameter reduced by 20 centimeters.
– Even after the fifth record, the will to go further is there. We started with 55 kilograms and got to a patty of 67 kilograms of barbecue meat. Our desire is to have competition and to not be our own competitor. There were difficulties with setting up the barbecue. There were slight problems with flipping the patty over, but it remained compact – said Predrag Lazarevic.
Lazarevic expects the organizer to prepare for them a bigger barbecue and a plate on which the patty is shaped and announced that the world’s biggest patty will be at least one kilogram heavier as soon as next year. This year’s patty was traditionally cut into pieces and served to the audience.
