The Industrial Zone Kosancic in the Municipality of Bojnik will be completed in 2022, as announced by the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic. She pointed out that the European Union had invested a million euros in that zone, and that an additional EUR 219,000 had been set aside from the state budget, and noted that the funds had been used to equip the future industrial zone in Bojnik with utilities.

She pointed out that 50% of the works had been completed and that the remaining 50% should be financed from the budget of the local self-government, but that it remained to be seen to what extent Bojnik is capable of realizing that.

The minister for European integration of Serbia, Jadranka Joksimovic, said that the Industrial Zone Kosancic had an area of 53 hectares, of which 33 hectares will be agricultural land, whereas the rest is meant for industrial facilities.

The deputy head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Mateja Norcic Stamcar, said that the aim of the project in which the EU invested a million euros was to attract as may investors as possible, to increase the number of jobs and the economic capacity of not just the Municipality of Bojnik, but of the entire area as well.
