Jacuzzi-swimming pool with view of the Danube - Horizon Swimming&Spa aqua park opened in Stara Pazova municipality
For those who would like to enjoy water attractions, try the first hot tubs in Serbia, play volleyball and basketball in water, or just swim and get away from the city, Horizon Swimming&Spa swimming pool complex will be ceremoniously opened tomorrow (August 10, 2010) in Surduk, on the very bank of the Danube.
There are 5 outdoor swimming pools and 6 hot tubs in the area between Belgrade and Novi Sad, in the vicinity of Slankamen, Novi Banovci, Stara Pazova, and Indjija. That location was chosen by investor Darko Mirkovic, primarily because of the beautiful view of the Danube. In association with Belgrade-based Aqua Pro Group and Aqua Arts-Akvamarin, the company has built contemporary swimming pools with the latest technology in accordance with the global standards for construction and water quality equipment.
- The complex will be ceremoniously opened on August 10, but we opened our doors on July 21 and the number of visitors is quite big. We have about 2,000 visitors already in the morning hours. There are two swimming pools for water sports, two recreational pools, one pool for kids, and 6 hot tubs. The complex also comprises three bars, one of which is in the water – Ivana Lemmer, the creative director of Horizon Swimming&Spa complex, told eKapija.
The complex also encompasses a court for beach volleyball, while a court for so-called slippery football will be built soon.
According to Ivana Lemmer, this is only the first phase of construction of the complex on the right bank of the Danube, in which 1.5 million euros have already been invested, while construction of a marina for boats, an indoor swimming pool and several new sports courts is in the pipeline for the next year.
- This complex will be completed in the third phase of construction when a hotel with 18 rooms should be built alongside the Danube – Lemmer announces.
