Jat Tehnika Has Aircraft Maintenance License Suspended – Air Serbia Facing Big Problems?
The portal writes that, according to the information that the TV station NewsMax Adria got to, the EASA suspended said license following the inspection completed on June 22, after a year and a half of functioning under the ownership of the Czech company Avia Prime.
Zamaaero also reports the details about how Jat Tehnika is the company that maintains Air Serbia’s planes, removing all the bigger malfunctions and performing base maintenance (Air Serbia Tehnika does only line maintenance), which could cause certain problems for this airline carrier.
However, according to Air Serbia, the good news is that there are no major interventions on aircraft planned until September and that another licensed company will be hired for those purposes. Still, the question is what will happen with Jat Tehnika, which was considered a very promising company, having been acquired by a new owner.
Lately, numerous media have been reporting that Jat Tehnika is experiencing big problems, especially when it comes to labor rights of the employees, which is why plenty have left the company. The Beta agency reported in March that, due to the accumulated problems, the workers had held a warning strike, following which there was a talk with the management, but, as things stand now, the talk hasn’t led to any considerable changes for the better.
