President Has Not Signed Amendments to Water Act – National Assembly to Deliberate on it Again
Vucic stated earlier that he would sign the new act if it was harmonized with the constitution and that he wouldn’t do so otherwise.
The stipulation which enables direct biding in leasing water land has been criticized in the public.
The amendments to the Water Act would enable the lease of water land through direct bidding “for floating structures built on water land in the territory of the City of Belgrade until the date the act comes into effect”.
The National Assembly of Serbia adopted the amendments to the Water Act on July 14.
