The City of Pancevo has made public the Detailed Regulation Plan for the construction of the BNS wind farm in the area of Banatsko Novo Selo. According to the preliminary analyses, the construction of a maximum of 28 wind turbines with a total installed power of up to 125 MW is planned in this area.

The rough area covered by the plan is around 2,112 ha, and the reason for the preparation of the plan, as said, is the initiative of the company Vetroelektrana Banat-4 d.o.o. for the purpose of the planning of an infrastructural complex for the production of electrical energy from renewable sources in the area of the cadaster municipality of Banatsko Novo Selo in the territory of the City of Pancevo.

The current purpose of the areas in the location is agricultural, and, aside from the structures of the utility infrastructure of the network of farm roads, there are no other public features in this space.

As it is pointed out, the construction of a wind farm for the production of electrical energy from renewable sources is planned. Depending on the wind potential, the construction of a wind farm infrastructural complex with the matching connected medium-voltage cable, telecommunications and other networks, as well as the network of access roads, is planned.

According to the preliminary analyses, in said area, the plan is to build a maximum of 28 turbines of a total installed power of up to 125 MW, which are to be connected to the power transmission system, all under the terms of the PE Elektromreza Srbije.

The maximum height of the wind turbine pillars, including the blade in the upmost position, will be 250 meters, and the maximum length of the blade will by 80 meters.

Considering the spatial scope of the wind farm and the dominant wind direction (southeast-northwest) and all the safety distances, several separate zones across which the wind generators are to be distributed have been defined.
