Postanska stedionica wants to buy Komercijalna banka in RS, Montenegro and Kosovo and Metohija
In addition to Komercijalna Banka in Banja Luka, Postanska stedionica is also interested in buying Komercijalna Banka in Montenegro and Pristina, and the Minister of Finance of Serbia has already given his consent for the mentioned purchase.
- NLB is ready to sell all parts of Komercijalna Banka, except the one in Serbia, for the book value. However, Postanska stedionica offered 60% of the book value in the negotiations. A letter of intent was sent to Slovenia - said a CAPITAL's source familiar with the topic.
Although their merger has been mentioned after NLB bought Komercijalna Banka, NLB concluded that it was risky for them and that they are only interested in Komercijalna Banka in Serbia.
On the other hand, as stated in the text, "the authorities in Serbia believe that it is in their strategic interest to maintain influence in the Republic of Srpska, Montenegro and the province of Kosovo through the banking sector."
Postanska stedionica is owned by Serbia, which has 79.01% of the shares, PE Post of Serbia (19.95%), the Republic Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (1.01%) and the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia (0.03%).
