The Austrian company Schiebel is building a factory in Jagodina for the production of actuators and electromechanical elements for refineries and nuclear power plants. The value of the investment is over EUR 1m, the City Administration told Tanjug.

The construction of the factory in the Industrial Zone, in Italijanska Street, started two weeks ago, and the facility is about 300 meters away from the factory of the German company Fischer, which was opened the other day.

The factory should be completed this year. It will initially employ 25 workers, and later up to 100 workers.

The company is owned by Klaus Shibel from Vienna and deals with electrical and mechanical production for refineries and nuclear power plants. It mostly produces actuators - converters, which it sells in almost all countries of the world.

The company has three partners in the European Union and seven in the rest of the world. The factory in Vienna employs 120 workers.

This Austrian company was supposed to start the construction of the factory in the industrial zone in Jagodina back in March 2020, but the project was postponed due to the state of emergency.
