Economies of Western Balkans Together at World Fairs
The Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (PKCG) announced that this was agreed at the meeting of the Managing Board of the Chamber Investment Forum in Belgrade, which was attended, on behalf of PKCG, by the president of PKCG, Vlastimir Golubovic, the adviser to the president of PKCG, Dragoljub Bulatovic, and the coordinator for cooperation with international chamber associations, Balsa Culafic.
The economies of the Western Balkans will together present the potentials of the region at world events such as DubaiExpo2020, China International Import Expo-CIIE and the Western Balkans Summit in Berlin.
The president of the Managing Board of the WB6 CIF, Marko Cadez said following the session of the board that a joint presentation was being planned for the Shanghai export-import fair and that business people from the region would be able to meet with investors from the whole world in the DubaiSouth free zone in the United Arab Emirates during DubaiExpo, from October 2021 till March 2022.
A department for attracting investments and promoting the exports of the economies of the region (Investment and Export Promotion Unit) is to be formed within the Chamber Investment Forum.
Golubovic said that Montenegro was ready to actively contribute to a joint investment offer of the region, but also to continue its agenda of a country open to investments.
The talks between chamber leaderships was attended by the deputy prime minister of North Macedonia in charge for economic affairs, Fatmir Bitici, who said that the Western Balkans needed to work together so that the economies could be competitive in the global market.
