The renovated Petar Dobrovic Gallery opened with the exhibition called “Colorist Visions”, which displays the rich work of one of the most important Serbia painters of the 20th century through 30 artworks.

Serbian Culture Minister Maja Gojkovic emphasized the importance of getting a representative gallery space for Belgrade and Serbia, where the masterpieces of the famous Serbian painter would be available not just to local art fans, but also to numerous guests from abroad.

– I am sure that, after visiting this place, they will leave with the best impression of our country, proving once more that we have something to be proud of when it comes to culture and art – Gojkovic said, as announced by the Ministry of Culture.

Gojkovic reminded that Dobrovic would find inspiration in Paris, along with numerous other Serbian and Yugoslav painters, such as Petar Lubarda, Stojan Aralica and Sava Sumanovic, and that the exhibition emphasized an important aspect of his work, important to both the Serbian and the European art heritage.
