- At the Moscow fair, we will present our offer of frozen fruits and vegetables, milk and dairy products, cured meat and delicatessen products, ready meals and pâtés, as well as dried fruit. Serbian product is appreciated, recognized as high quality, traditionally has customers and is in great demand. The market of Russia and the CIS is huge and that potential should be used as much as possible. The SCC and the representative office in Moscow are working intensively on connecting Serbian producers and Russian customers - said Dejan Delic, director of the Representative Office of SCC in Moscow. He adds that thanks to a unique, preferential trade agreement with the Russian Federation and duty-free exports to a market of over 144 million inhabitants, Serbian products are initially more competitive compared to other, imported products.
In 2020, Serbia exported the freshest apples, soy, cheese, peaches and nectarines, dog and cat food, fruit seedlings, fresh strawberries, frozen fruit, raspberries and blackberries, and despite all the aggravating circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Serbian exports recorded positive results and growth of 5.2%.
Prodexpo is visited by about 70,000 visitors from over 110 countries every year. This year, 2660 exhibitors from 73 countries will exhibit at the fair. Apart from Serbia, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Brazil and Uruguay will also present themselves at the national stands. In addition to presentations of the latest technologies in food production, meetings of producers, exporters and distributors, as well as representatives of leading retail chains will be organized.
The fair is held with special protection measures, which include mandatory wearing of masks and gloves, measuring the temperature at the entrance to the fair space, hand disinfection and keeping the minimum distance of 1.5 m at all times. The air in the halls will be changed several times per hour, the rule of 1 person per 4 m2 will be in force, each sample for tasting must be packed separately, business talks will only be allowed 1 on 1, and at each stand protective plexiglass partitions will be placed as additional security during business conversations between exhibitors and business partners.
This is the second fair in 2021 and since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, where Serbian companies present their offer live, in the presence of company representatives, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Serbian Development Agency.
