The Belgrade-based company Ovcar-Kablar Tekovine, which has bought the mechanical workshop of the former Gosa Factory of Tools and Machines (Fabrika za proizvodnju alata i masina) with an annex, with 4,915 m2 in Smederevska Palanka, plans to revive the production at this factory, which used to make components for all other companies within the Gosa complex.

As the director of Ovcar-Kablar Tekovine, Dejan Bursac, said for eKapija, negotiations with companies Gosa FOM and Zelvoz 026, which bought the Gosa rail vehicle factory in 2019, are in progress.

– Those companies have contacted us, because we now have the machines which used to make parts for Gosa. The plan is for Fabrika za proizvodnju alata i masina to be put into operation, because the production of components for rail cars is something that this market lacks, especially now when Zelvoz 026 is to start producing rail cars – Bursac says for our portal.

He adds that he hopes that the state will understand the need of helping this important investment, because it is necessary for the hall to be renovated in order to be put back into operation. Bursac points out this is all new for the Ovcar-Kablar Tekovine company, whose core activity are secondary raw materials, so they are currently making a business plan and estimating the value of the future investment.

– If the investment is realized as planned, and it should be, because there’s an objective need for this in the market, and the mechanical workshop is also in an ideal position, we will employ at least another 30 machine workers – Bursac says.

He also announces another big investment for our portal – the construction of a large recycling center for hazardous waste in the territory of central Serbia.

– The plan is to begin the construction in three months – Bursac announced for eKapija.
