Hospitality Managers Appeal: Full Closing Unbearable
– We strongly appeal to show by example, through compliance with the measures and the organization of our operations, how the possibility of the spreading of the infection in hospitality facilities can be brought down to a minimum – they say.
They add that they have consciously changed their business models, adapting to the circumstances.
– Still, the current full closing of hospitality facilities has become unbearable from the aspect of business sustainability, care for the employees and, no less important, the mental health of the society. I am aware that this situation can be overcome only if we work together, with us, hospitality managers, as well as the guests at restaurants, cafes and hotels, complying with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the competent institutions of the Republic of Serbia for prevention of the spreading of the infection and being persistent in wearing masks, keeping the distance and maintaining the hygiene, as well as the vaccination. For that reason, we strongly support the initiative that the deputy mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, presented on March 26, for hospitality facilities to be allowed to be open until 10 pm – said Igor Ratkovic, the director of the company Visnjica Restorani and a member of the Managing Board of the Business Association of Hotel and Restaurant Industry of Serbia (HORES).
The times are difficult, and it is only through reason and solidarity that the damage to the society and the hospitality managers can be brought down to a minimum, the hospitality managers say.
