Air Serbia to Reintroduce Flight to Rome on April 30
The flights between the Serbian and Italian capitals will be operated two times a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
Depending on the epidemiological situation and the consequential travel restrictions, it is planned that a third weekly flight, on Sundays, will be introduced starting from June 13.
Air Serbia will be the only airline connecting Serbia and Italy, offering up to 864 seats per week in both directions during the summer season.
– We are glad to re-establish the air link to Italy, and add another destination to our current network. We are committed to re-establishing our network whenever the epidemiological situation and consequent travel restriction allow us to do so and we aim to offer wider scale connectivity to Serbia and entire region. Italy represents a very important market for us, not only because it is traditionally interesting to our passengers, but also because of its importance in terms of economic cooperation and trade – said Jiri Marek, General Manager, Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.
The national airline will be offering good connectivity from Rome, through Belgrade, to Athens, Bucharest, Dubrovnik, Istanbul, New York, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Split, Tivat and Tirana.
Passengers will also have access to good connections to Rome, through Belgrade, from Athens, Bucharest, Dubrovnik, Istanbul, London, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Tirana and Split.
Air Serbia discontinued direct flights between Belgrade and Rome in March 2020, due to the situation caused by the global coronavirus pandemic. The route was recommenced in July 2020, but was again discontinued two weeks later due to the worsened epidemiological situation in Europe.
