American Company Bechtel Interested in Projects in Energy Sector in Serbia
They agreed that the excellent cooperation which had already been initiated in the infrastructure sector should be continued in the field of energy as well.
– This is an important year for the energy sector. We are preparing a national plan for energy and climate, we will work on decarbonization, and we also want to increase the production from renewable energy sources and improve energy efficiency, whereby your knowledge, experience and implementation of new technologies are welcome – she said.
The president of Bechtel for the Western Balkans, Stu Jones, said that the company was also interested in working on projects related to renewable energy sources in Serbia.
He said that Serbia could and should be the first country in the region to invest in new RES technologies, especially in wind farms, solar energy, but also green hydrogen.
US Ambassador to Serbia Anthony Godfrey expressed his satisfaction over the successful cooperation up till then and emphasized that Bechtel was a world-renowned company.
