What is the Average Programmer’s Salary in Serbia?
The specialized employment website got the data from over 1,000 salary payments recorded by the candidates, Helloworld says.
Salaries in the IT industry mostly depend on the years of relevant experience, so the average salary for a senior programmer is EUR 1,724, medior programmers earn EUR 1,144, and juniors earn EUR 736.
– Although senior programmers belong to the group of professions in deficit, most job ads in 2020 pertained to medior programmers, as many as 65% of IT job ads – helloworld.rs says.
The salaries are also affected by the technology used by the programmers. Observed by this criterion, the best paid positions in the IT industry are Technical Lead, with an average salary of EUR 2,520, and Delivery Manager, with EUR 2,300.
Last year, employers mostly sought programmers with the knowledge of Javascript, Java, NET, PHP, Python, as well as technologies C# and C++.
On average, the best paid IT center in Serbia is Belgrade, with an average of EUR 1,664, followed by Nis with EUR 1,229, Kragujevac with EUR 1,196, Novi Sad with EUR 1,104, and Subotica with EUR 831.
In addition to the Belgrade software engineer with a salary of EUR 7,500, the best paid position in Nis is a technical lead, with a salary of EUR 3,500, whereas, in Novi Sad, the best paid IT positions are software developer and IT manager, each with EUR 3,000. In Kragujevac, it is a chief technology officer, with a salary of EUR 2,888, whereas, in Subotica, the best paid IT position is software architect, with EUR 1,700.
