Price of Soy Reaches Nine-Year Peak

The price of soy at the Commodities Exchange reached a nine-year maximum this week, whereas the prices of corn and wheat oscillated minimally, according to the weekly market report.

The total weekly turnover was 2,168 tons, whose value is RSD 71.5 million.

At the end of the week, the price of soy was at 64 dinars per kilogram without the VAT, for the first time since October 2012.

The weekly weighted price of soy is 63.22 dinars per kilogram without the VAT and is 3.99% higher than in the previous week.

Agreements on corn were made in the range of 22.4 to 22.8 dinars per kilogram without the VAT, whereas the agreements for the goods delivered to the port were signed at 23.2 dinars per kilogram.


The weighted price of corn amounted to 22.6 dinars per kilogram without the VAT and was 0.22% lower compared to the previous week.

The wheat market was passive, and the purchasers were ready to pay 22.8 dinars per kilogram without VAT for the bread grain, whereas the sellers stuck to a slightly higher price.

Animal-feed barley traded at a single price of 20.8 dinars per kilogram without the VAT.
