Status from Svrljig Developing New Product – Honey from Nas Med Facility in Cider Vinegar Soon to be Available in Large Store Chains

The Nas Med facility in Raca has a new partner, the Svrljig-based company Status, which has bought the first quantities of acacia honey made at the facility, whose quality has been tested in laboratories in Germany and Italy, in order to start producing a new product, “Jabukovo sirce Dr Andras s medom”, a cider vinegar product with honey.

According to the website of the Association of Beekeeping Organizations of Serbia, this is a refreshing drink with natural honey, vitamins and minerals from apples and honey, which will become available in large store chains in Serbia in a few weeks.

The cider vinegar is derived from healthy apple fruits, which have not been treated in any way and which can be called ecological or wild apple forest fruits, and such vinegar is beneficial when consumed.

– It can be said in all honesty that Svrljig is nearly an ecological area. Located in a unique, fertile basin, through which the Svrljiski Timok river flows, between the mountain ranges of Svrljiske Planine and Tresibaba, on the outskirts of Ozren and Devica, it is a perfect ecological oasis at an altitude of over five hundred meters. This position is an ideal place for fruit growing, especially when it comes to indigenous apple varieties. Numerous apple growers have a special privilege of cultivating their fruits under the conditions that are nearly unprecedented – the press release says.

These fruits are the basis for the production of cider vinegar with the Dr Andra brand. The procedure involves a strict application of the traditional technologies of cold pressing, natural maturation and a lack of any kind of chemical additives.

The main ingredient of the Dr Andra cider vinegar is natural acetic acid. In addition to it, the cider vinegar also contains other acids, minerals, vitamins and essential amino acids. A very important ingredient of the Dr Andra cider vinegar is potassium, which is present in high concentrations in cider vinegar.
