The construction of the station building at Prokop will cost EUR 7.43 million, according to the Court Expert Evaluation Institute of the City of Belgrade, as confirmed by Jovan Vorkapic, the director of the Property Directorate of the Republic of Serbia (RDI) in a written response to the Politika daily. What is not yet known are the details of the framework agreement on the construction of the station, the parking and the business-commercial features, the legality of which is disputed by Transparentnost Srbija (Transparency Serbia), among other things, because the document has not been published.

Also, it is not known when the agreement between the state and the private partner, Railway City Beograd, will be final, on which it also depends whether some of its items can still be changed.

According to RDI, the joint construction plan envisages for Railway City to raise the station building and build the parking spaces at its own expense, as the financing entity, and to in turn “get the right of ownership over a part of the parcels, the right of construction and the exclusive ownership over certain facilities, the construction of which it will finance entirely on its own”.
