(Smokva location targeted for resort construction) Montenegrin Minister of Ecology, Spatial and Urban Planning Ratko Mitrovic approved the construction of the luxury tourist resort Smokva Bay in the Smokvica location near Rezevici.

Mitrovic approved the preliminary design of the future tourist settlement with a five-star hotel in Smokvica, submitted to the head state architect by the consortium of V.A.S. Invest, Boticelli Land Development and Ava Development, operating with Russian-Israeli capital. They intend to invest EUR 260 million in the project.

The Smokva Bay project envisages a complex of two hotels with a residential complex of villas, which will cascade down to the seaside, and the construction of a range of accompanying features, from recreation to commercial-hospitality facilities. This is the first private summer resort on the Montenegrin coast.
