IMF Increases Projection of Global Growth for 2021
She pointed out that the projection of the growth of the global GDP for 2021 had been revised up compared to the October prognosis due to the expected increase of business activities later in the year, after the vaccination against Covid-19 is carried out, and due to additional economic aid to businesses and citizens in several big economies.
At the same time, she says, the IMF has revised the projection of last year’s global drop down by 0.9 percentage points to 3.5%.
The world economy is to grow by 4.2% in 2022, according to the projection of the IMF.
