The Public Procurement Agency (PPA) of Bulgaria has announced a plan for the construction of the Bulgarian section of the gas pipeline between Bulgaria and Serbia, and the procuring entity is Bulgartransgaz.

At the ministers’ council, held last Wednesday, the CEO of Bulgartransgaz, Vladimir Malinov, said that the company would launch the public procurement procedure for the equipment for the construction of the 62 kilometers of the Bulgarian section, at the same time setting the price of the agreement at 144 million levs (around EUR 73 million), BTA reports.

PPA announces on its website that potential interested parties should have at least 35 million levs (around EUR 18 million) in turnover in the past three financial years.

They also need to have taken part in the construction, repair or overhaul of an underground pipeline for natural gas, made of welded steel pipes, in the past five years.

The bidders should prepare an investment project for each phase of the project, and the company that gets the job will have to deliver the building material and equipment, carry out the construction works and put the gas pipeline into operation, Tanjug reports.
