Annual Inflation in Serbia at 1.6% in 2020

Consumer prices in 2020 in relation to 2019 increased by 1.6%, on average, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced today.

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in December 2020 in relation to November 2020 increased by 0.1%. Consumer prices in December 2020, increased by 1.3% in relation to December 2019.

Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption in December 2020 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Communication (1.1%), Health (0.4%), in the groups Transport and Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house (each by 0.3%) and in the group Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.1%).


Decrease of prices was noted in the groups Clothing and footwear (-0.5%) and Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.2%).

Prices of other goods and services mostly remained unchanged.
