In the upcoming period, Belgrade should get smart public transport stops, based on innovative technological solutions. The Secretariat for Public Transport of the City of Belgrade has opened a tender for the implementation of innovative solutions at public transport stops within the smart city concept.

According to the technical documentation, in the area of 17 Belgrade municipalities, there are more than 5,000 registered stops, including bus, tram and trolley stops, but also those for mini-buses, BG Voz lines and the Vrabac service of the transport of passengers through pedestrian zones.

The equipment consists of canopies, platforms, posts, information tables displaying the line numbers and other items.

The subject of the public procurement procedure is an innovative solution for public transport stands based on the implementation of new technologies, which must be ecological, fit into the smart city concept and be a benefit for the citizens. It also needs to be cost-effective.

– The cost-effectiveness entails the completeness of the economic cycle of the system and its not requiring additional investments after the implementation and the commissioning. Instead, it needs to finance its own maintenance and make a return on the invested funds of 100% within 48 months – the tender documentation says.

The deadline period for the implementation of the innovative solution is 150 days from the adoption of the preliminary design by the procuring entity and it needs to be realized in at least 40 public transport stands in Belgrade.

The estimated value of the job is RSD 52 million without the VAT, and the procurement is carried out in the form of a competition procedure with negotiations.

Bids may be submitted by February 1.
