MALI: A total of EUR 2.3 billion in foreign direct investments by the end of the year
– Over 60% of foreign direct investments which come to the whole region of the Western Balkans come to Serbia, which means new jobs, for the citizens, new factories, and our obligation is to build even more highways, new industrial zones, health facilities and everything that makes up Serbia’s development – Mali said at the National Assembly of Serbia.
The minister also reminded that Toyo Tires factory was being built in Serbia and that the value of the investment was EUR 382 million. That is the largest Japanese investment in Serbia ever and shows how much Serbia has become and remained attractive to investments even in the time of a global economic crisis, he said.
Talking about the guarantee schemes that are used as help to the economy, he also said that the state had taken individual agricultural producers into consideration, who had also had the option of getting credits, and the help had been realized through a decree through the Ministry of Agriculture.
Through that decree, Mali says, 12,741 credits to as many individuals were given, and the total value of the lending is around RSD 17 billion and those were credits for liquidity and the procurement of tractors and head of livestock.
