The payment of minimum wages to employees in tourism and hospitality begins today, as announced by Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali, and RSD 2 billion has been set aside from the state budget, the Ministry of Finance announced.

– This is sector-targeted support for 72,500 employees in travel agencies, rent-a-car companies, bars and restaurants and hotels – Mali said.

The minister stated that the Tax Administration had published a list of 12,037 companies that are eligible for state aid. The list features companies from the sectors of hospitality and tourism.

– The money will be paid to the companies to the special-purpose accounts that the Treasury Administration has opened for this purpose – he emphasized and added that the payment procedure had been simplified. It’s enough for the business entity’s authorized person to visit the designated branch office of the Treasury Administration only once.

The locations and the information about the necessary documentation can be found on the website of the Treasury Administration at www.trezor.gov.rs.
