Works on Reconstruction of Subotica-Szeged Railway to be Accelerated
This is one of the priority projects envisaged within the Framework Agreement on Economic and Technical Construction of the Governments of Hungary and Serbia on Infrastructure Projects.
The ministers, who discussed the cooperation of the two countries in the field of infrastructure and construction, also agreed that people in charge of the communication should be appointed and that a standing team of the two ministries should be established for the purposes of the implementation of this extremely important project for the connecting of the two friendly countries, the ministry announced.
– At the moment, Serbia and Hungary are connected through several big projects, the most important of which is the construction, modernization and reconstruction of the Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway. However, we mustn’t forget the very important Subotica-Szeged section, which is the main line between the two largest cities in that region, connecting two local communities which have had excellent friendly and business contacts for centuries – minister Momirovic emphasized.
