In the 2021 budget, the Government of Serbia has envisaged setting aside RSD 500 million for a new campaign of subsidized vacations in Serbia, which means that the basic quota to be offered to citizens in 2021 will amount to 100,000 vouchers, each worth RSD 5,000, the Moja Srbija association announced.

– In the time of the pandemic, when traveling outside our borders is made impossible, it is important to facilitate the planning of vacations in Serbia for our populace. The psychological pressure that the citizens are exposed to due to the health threat and the restrictions of work and movement require relaxation, which, under these circumstances, can only be organized in our country – said Milan Ristic, a representative of Moja Srbija.

He added that the campaign would need to continue even after the pandemic.

– Based on the increased demand, many of our hotel, restaurant and bar operators took out loans and invested in expanding and upgrading their accommodation capacities, so we will need to support them even when the coronavirus threat passes – he said.
